I ordered the grey, which looked like a straight grey, darker at the edges and lighter in the center. What they really look like is lighter than shown, and with an unwelcome hint of brown. Maybe my monitor is the problem, but this is not what I expected and wanted.*Edited to add two stars, since the seller immediately contacted me after the above review and offered a partial refund. I appreciate the responsiveness if not the plates!I will use this plate as dessert or salad.I bought a set of four dinner plates, bowls, and salad plates, and they arrived in good shape, but the color is nothing like the photos. It's not the vibrant color shown, it's a dull grayish color. Returning all of it.I ordered 16 plates, first batch, 8 were one color, 8 were different. I reached out to the manufacturer and they resent 8 new plates and I sent back the 8 that didn't match. The new plates have the same color, but some have weird dots on them. Not worth it at allThe plates are a work of art by themselves and upscales any eating area. I opted for the Grayish-White color and could not be more happy with the finish. The plates seem to be made well and has good weight to them which isn't a bad thing in my opinion, so they won't move easily while cutting a steak or chicken dish. Being dishwasher, microwave and oven safe are great features as well. The plates are an especially durable type of ceramic that is fired at high temperatures and the gloss finish is simply amazing. The colors and blending is wonderful. If I have to have a complaint, it would be you can see some imperfections in the finish, but for me it isn't a big deal and the plates are just as useful. Not sure if they are hand made or not, but it gives the plates character and not so clowned look. The plates are circular which makes them stackable which is excellent for storage and space saving. I have tested the plates and they are indeed Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. I highly recommend these plates in any color offered. The imperfections in the finish for me brings character, but for some it may not.Great product, fast shipping, would buy from again
